Lynne Charlton (w/ Update)

It is my very sad duty to report of Lynne Charlton’s passing on Tuesday.  She was apparently working in her garden at home and suffered a heart attack.  We know that many of you have known her for years if not decades and her sudden passing is both a terrible shock and huge loss to all of us.  Far, far more significant than just serving the club in a number of capacities, she provided tireless energy and enthusiasm in every encounter and her wise counsel and unyielding friendship were a source of comfort that serves to highlight just what a great person she was.  Having just seen her Saturday following the AAR and again Monday for an enjoyable dinner board meeting at Oak Hill Tavern, the loss is even that much harder to comprehend.  I hope you’ll join us in extending sincerest condolences to her family and keep them in your thoughts and prayers in this difficult time.

UPDATE:

The family has announced that visiting hours will be at Fagan-Quinn Funeral Home at 825 Boston Neck Rd, North Kingstown, just south of Wickford, on Monday, July 6th from 5-8pm.  A memorial service is tentatively planned for July 25th.  Details to follow.
