Effective 1 August the 2025 Notice of Race has been amended to Version 2 that allows the use of Autopilots should a boat race as single handed or double handed.
Specifically, paragraph 1.3 is modified with the blue text as follows:
1.3 Power driven winches and furlers are permitted in all events. The rudder may be adjusted and operated by an autopilot using power that is not provided by the crew should a boat be racing single handed or double handed. This changes RRS 52 (Manual Power).
This is effective starting with the Block Island Race and all subsequent races. The updated NOR is posted on the Race Page and on all events where the change is effective.
